Resolve a declined payment
For security reasons and to protect your confidential information, your bank cannot provide Cmonami with the reason why your payment was declined. Contact your bank directly to resolve these payment issues.

To retry making a declined payment, go to Your commands
To determine the reason your payment was declined, check the following points and, if necessary, contact your bank for more information:

Have you exceeded your credit limit?
Have you correctly entered your payment card number, expiration date, billing address and phone number in Your Account?
Is your purchase exceeding your normal spending range? Some banks block transactions due to security concerns.

To retry making a declined payment:
Access Your Orders.
Do one of the following:
Try again with a different payment method, as follows:
Select Change Payment Method for the order you want to change.
Select another payment method in your account or send a new card number and select Confirm.
Select Retry Payment Method for Order.
Try again with your current payment method by selecting Retry Payment Method for the order.


Pending debits for canceled orders
In certain cases, it is possible that following the cancellation of an order, its amount appears on your bank statement.

When you place an order on Cmonami, we may contact the bank issuing your payment card to verify that it has a valid number and that it has not been reported lost or stolen. This security measure results in an authorization of the total amount of the order. However, we will not invoice until your items have been shipped or within five days, whichever comes first. This is a security measure to protect our customers.

If you cancel your order before it is charged, the bank may block authorization on your card for a period of up to 10 working days.

Restrictions on prepaid cards
Cmonami allows you to use prepaid cards for the majority of purchases, but certain restrictions apply.

The following restrictions apply to Visa, MasterCard and American Express prepaid cards:

A prepaid card cannot be used at the same time as a credit or debit card for the same order.
Some prepaid cards do not accept recurring billing. Contact your financial institution for help with your payment method.
You cannot enter the visual cryptogram on the back of some bank cards. If the code is required by your card company, your payment will not be processed.
Note:

Some banks may require registration of prepaid cards by name and billing address.
There is an authorization of 1 € at the time of the order to verify that the payment method is valid. This authorization is not a debit, but banks can block authorized funds until the authorization expires.


Permissions
When you place an order, Cmonami contacts the issuing bank to verify the validity of the payment method. Your bank reserves the funds until the transaction is processed or until the authorization expires, but this is not an actual debit.

Some banks refer to these authorizations as “pending charges” or “handling charges”. Please contact your card issuing bank for more information on their specific policies regarding authorizations.
